GEC Grows Aviation Practice with Hiring of Key Professional

G.E.C., Inc., a national engineering firm specializing in transportation, environmental, planning, coastal, infrastructure and aviation development, announced the addition of Anthony J. Marino to its senior leadership team.  Marino, an accomplished senior-level aviation management professional with more than 42 years of experience and a wealth of expertise in airport management, has joined GEC as Vice President of Business Development – Aviation Division.  He is responsible for developing new business opportunities and creating customized solutions for aviation clients.

Marino served most recently as Director of Aviation for the Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport, where he was instrumental in obtaining funding for over $410 million in airport projects.  Marino’s areas of specialty include all aspects of airport development, such as funding, planning, sustainability and environmental mitigation, program management, design and construction for terminal, airfield and landside development.

Marino serves on several national and state committees for airport organizations, such as the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) and the Airports Council International.
