Last month, JMAA announced the Transportation Security Administration’s (TSA) rollout of the Enhanced Accessible Property Screening (EAPS) at Jackson-Medgar Wiley Evers International Airport (JAN) would begin Tuesday, February 27, 2018.
“During the new procedure, passengers utilizing a standard lane will be asked to remove electronics larger than a cell phone from their carry-on items or bags and placing them in a bin with nothing on top or below the item,” stated TSA Training Specialist Dwain McCain.
Travelers are strongly encouraged to arrive at JAN two hours prior to flight departure and organize carry-on items to ensure ease and adequate processing through TSA Screening Checkpoints. For more information on EAPS and other prohibited items, visit www.tsa.gov.
