MAA Scholarships Promote Aviation Careers

The Mississippi Airports Association enhances aviation in our state in many ways – offering forums for connection and consultation among members, providing information on the array of matters airport executives manage and advocating and advising on legislation.

Beyond current issues, the MAA also takes seriously its responsibility to strengthen aviation for the years to come. One of the most important aspects of that is to ensure a well-educated base for airport management. To that end, the MAA offers help and encouragement to Mississippi college students in aviation related fields through scholarships. The Association provides scholarship funding at Delta State University, Hinds Community College and Northwest Community College. The board recently approved funding levels for the 2019-2020 school year at $3,000 for Delta State and $1,500 each for the community colleges.

Congratulations to this year’s scholarship recipients!
