By Bill Cotter, Chief Operations Officer
Hancock County Port and Harbor Commission
It was with mixed emotions that I have submitted my retirement papers, effective June 30, 2020. After seventeen plus years as Airport Director at Stennis International Airport and the last four years overseeing the Airport, Maritime Port & Railroad operations and all construction projects, it’s time to move on. Stennis International Airport has seen some growth over my tenure; weathered a storm or two, supported military training and the Deepwater Horizon response, but some of my fondest memories are of my involvement with the Mississippi Airports Association. Over the years we have competed for grant money and growth possibilities but have always come together for the common good and safety for the flying public.
As most of our mothers have said, “I can tell a lot about you by the people you hang out with.” Thank you all for making me look good in my mother’s eyes.
