MDOT REPORT

As we wrap up another calendar year, it’s time to start a new round of multi-modal grant application cycles. The FY2026 Strategic Multi-Modal Investments Fund application submittal window has recently closed, and MDOT staff have quite a challenge with this round of project selection. It’s a good problem to have; it means we have a lot of good projects from which to choose. The Mississippi Legislature increased the annual funding to $18 million this year, so we can make it further down the list than we did last year.

The legacy Multi-Modal Program is expected to open in March, with applications due at the end of the month, and we’ll be looking to award Strategic Multi-Modal projects before that application cycle opens.
