PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE
Dear MAA Members and Partners,
On behalf of the Mississippi Airports Association, I would like to wish everyone a great holiday season.
Please mark your calendars for MAA Capitol Day on January 28, 2026. This event has grown each year, and we value the opportunity to meet and interact with key committee members in the state Legislature during this time. From the Mississippi Department of Transportation’s (MDOT) Traditional Multi-Modal Transportation Improvement program to the recently created MDOT Strategic Multi-Modal Investments Fund, there are many items for which we would like to thank the Legislature for their continued support of airports in Mississippi. We also want to bring to their attention other legislation that may be of benefit to the enhancement of our industry.
Also, we ask that you please save the dates of September 30-October 2 for the MAA Annual Conference in Biloxi. We look forward to another engaging gathering with an educational and informative panel of speakers. The Annual Conference is a primary revenue generator for the Association, and we hope to see you again this year. We had a great time in Hattiesburg and want to thank Tom Heanue and team for being so hospitable to all who attended.
