Stennis International Survey to Gauge Market for Hangar Space and Rates

By Jace Ponder, Communications Director
Hancock County Port and Harbor Commission

Stennis International Airport has plans to expand our hangar portfolio. One project is a five-bay general aviation hangar. We completed design and engineering and put the project out to bid last year but did not receive responses. Earlier this year, we adjusted the project and rebid it, but the construction costs were higher than expected.

To help us calculate a fair and reasonable rate on the hangar development, we published a survey to gauge market interest in hangar space and rental rates. The survey is live now, and we will report the data to our commission as we plan how to proceed with the five-bay hangar project and obtain necessary data for future vertical development at Stennis International Airport.

The survey can be found HERE.
