The Greenville Mid-Delta Airport is nearing completion of numerous hangar improvements for its largest corporate hangar on the property. The city of Greenville has signed a 20-year lease with Greenville Kearns Aerospace Maintenance (GKAM), who will be the base tenant for the hangar and for the remaining hangars in the complex.

Improvements include cleaning and painting the floors, cleaning the walls, remodeling bathrooms, installing all new LED lighting, new sheet metal and insulation in the ceilings and updating electrical and pneumatic systems within the hangar. The fire suppression system has also been updated with new sprinkler heads and will be certified upon completion of all remaining projects.

Airport Director Sam Washington states, “This project has been five years in the making, and we are very excited to be ready to bring in aircraft for maintenance, repair and overhaul. GKAM has been a patient and willing partner in this process, and we are pleased about the new, well-paying jobs that will come with getting their operation up and running.”
