PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE
Dear MAA Members and Partners,
I want to extend a special thank you to those who attended the Mississippi Airports Association Annual Conference in Biloxi. The event at Beau Rivage Resort and Casino provided a tremendous opportunity for attendees to stay abreast of the latest trends impacting aviation in Mississippi and allowed for a variety of networking opportunities. This year’s conference set a record in attendance as we had 238 people participate. Also, this year marked a record number of sponsors who supported the mission of the Association. More than 60 companies/airports/organizations were represented at the Host, Presidential, Platinum, Gold, Silver and exhibitor levels. Forty-four of them offered interactive and interesting displays to educate and engage with those attending. Without the participation of our exhibitors and sponsors, MAA would not be able to carry out its mission each year. We greatly appreciate all you do for the organization and for the continued support. In addition, we are grateful to all who took time out of their busy schedules to speak at the conference. Each session was engaging and addressed a broad array of topics that were applicable to both commercial and general aviation airports. The weather for this year’s events cooperated, and we hope that everyone enjoyed the nice Gulf views and witnessed the hospitality firsthand for which Coastal Mississippi is known.
A special thank you to Tellos Creative, Kathy Kenne and Kirsten Shaw, for their hard work organizing and planning the event. Also, I would like to thank Mike Forster from Louisville-Winston County Airport for his dedicated service on the MAA Board of Directors and for the time he spent serving as the organization’s Treasurer. Welcome to Hiram Haney from Hinds Community College’s John Bell Williams Airport, who has assumed a position on the MAA Board, and congratulations to Donna Sowers from the Roscoe Turner Airport in Corinth and to Levell Hawkins from the Greenville Mid-Delta Airport on their reappointments to the board.
Again, thank you for your support for this year’s Annual Conference. Please be on the lookout for a Save the Date for the 2027 MAA Annual Conference.
Sincerely,
Clay Williams
President
