Olive Branch Plans Refurbishment of Ramp, Apron and Taxiway
David Taylor, Director
Olive Branch Airport-Taylor Field
The Olive Branch Airport (OLV) will see the start of multiple projects in early April. Thanks in part to an FAA/MDOT grant, OLV will begin a ramp and apron renovation project in the area around the hangars on the north end of the airport. Those surfaces will be completely reconstructed and repaved, which will also allow for better drainage during heavy rainfall.
Also during this year, the south 4,000 feet of taxiway Alpha, to include the south run-up pad, will be resurfaced and new connecting taxiways put in place. Demolition of the old taxiway connectors will be part of this project. The north 2,000 feet of the same taxiway and the north run-up pad were completed in the spring of 2025. Airfield lighting for the new connectors will also be installed, and a helipad will be added where the current Delta taxiway is now located as part of a repurpose project. The funding for this comes from an AIP grant.
