Gulfport-Biloxi International Airport was honored to welcome home two special Honor Flights this past spring, including an all-female Honor Flight carrying 22 Vietnam veterans in April and a flight carrying 53 Vietnam and Korean War veterans in May.

After visiting the nation’s capital and the memorials dedicated to their service, these heroes returned to heartfelt welcomes complete with a water salute, cheering crowds and a community filled with gratitude. From students and local leaders to families, friends and supporters, coastal Mississippi came together to recognize the service, sacrifice and lasting legacy of these remarkable veterans.

We extend our sincere thanks to everyone who came out to welcome these heroes home, as well as the many organizations, volunteers and community partners who worked behind the scenes to plan and coordinate these meaningful and memorable experiences. Your support helped create a fitting tribute to the men and women who have served our nation.
