The Hattiesburg-Laurel Regional Airport opened its new general aviation passenger terminal on April 17. The terminal is a one-story steel and glass 5,000 square-foot state of the art facility. The building, 50 years in the making, was constructed with funds from the FAA, MDOT and local resources. It is leased to Avflight, the airport’s fixed base operator (FBO). Avflight Hattiesburg is a premier full-service FBO offering exceptional ground handling, concierge services, complimentary refreshments, well-appointed lounges, catering and maintenance. With 125,000 square feet of hangar space, Avflight accommodates aircraft up to a Gulfstream G550, ensuring a seamless experience for all.

“For 50 years our GA passenger terminal was a lean-to on a hangar,” says Tom Heanue, Executive Director. “Now we have a modern facility that welcomes travelers and business executives to the Pine Belt.”
